December 23, 200322 yr Folks, I bought this aircraft over the weekend, and thus far I'm very impressed. The external views, which I don't normally spend too much time looking at, are stunning, esp. the reflective textures and the cockpit detail. The wheels spin, the VC is *completely* modeled from what I can see, the flight model is very nice to fly (and on the numbers at least w.r.t. the included documentation, which is based on the real aircraft), and the instruments are almost all (if not all) custom-made. The engines have a realistic spool up/down time with corresponding sounds. Even this - the Instructor Pilot is sitting in the right seat with checklist and approach plate strapped to his knee, and his uniform patches change depending on which of the many paint jobs you select (!) .The interesting thing is, when you install the aircraft, it installs a special startup program that starts up FS2002/4 with a custom .cfg file - apparently they're doing some "magick" to do things in terms of realism that are not normally available in FS. It's a minor hassle, but I'm a stickler for realism so it's worth it.There are optional vocal cues when you lower the gear or flaps when you're too fast, when you are approaching your desired altitude, etc. - just like an IP would do IRL (except without the cuss words 8^) .)Anyway, if you're looking for something different than the normal fare of payware aircraft, and you can part with US$30, this is a gem.The web site has a lot of screen shots and some example documentation snippets that should give you an ideer of the depth of this airplane model.BTW I'm posting this because this airplane hasn't gotten a lot of attention from what I can see (at least at Avsim), and I think it more than deserves it.http://www.t37sim.com/cheers,Dave BlevinsMerely a satisfied customerP.S. fly this airplane with the sounds that are sampled from the real a/c, and you will quickly learn why they call it the Tweet! Excellent pretend addition to FS9 or FS2002. PLUS loads of REAL world material. And for only $30.00!A thought for the owners of the Tweet. .... Do you think we will need to do some multiplayer formation flying here once we master the basic skills? ;-)Regards,BobS
December 24, 200322 yr Hi all,They were also featured in a blurb in the latest January edition of Flying Magazine. Page 29:"A Simulator For The Air Force"Should help out the students quite a bit, although as is said about 100 times, it is not associated with the United States Air Force.I looked at it, but $30 is just too much for just one airplane, IMHO.Regards,Joehttp://www.aboutpolitics.net/images/bannerav.gif CryptoSonar on Twitch & YouTube.

January 10, 200422 yr update: I hope I'm not violating some Avsim bylaw by posting a link to another flight sim site, but there's a new, very in-depth review of this aircraft here: http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds?$=main/review/tweet.htmIt makes me want to go take the Tweet around the pattern again tonight, and I think I will. I need to pay more attention to nailing the various flight mode speeds though.Dave Blevins(Who was too blind way back in '77 (my high school grad year) to even think about being an AF pilot, so this is the next best thing) System: Asus P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3 mobo *** i7 2700K @ 5gHz w/ Corsair H80 cooler NVidia GTX 570 OC *** 8 GB 1600 Corsair Vengeance DRAM *** CoolerMaster HAF X case System overclocked and tuned for FSX by fs-gs.com Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog stick/throttle & CH Products Pro Pedals Various GoFlight panels *** PFC avionics stack
