FSX Freezes

Featured Replies

I'll be honest.. My system specs SUCK, they meet the minimums, but thats enough said.. Anywho, I loaded up the NGX on the ground at PDX, and some of the analogue gauges were all distorted and somehow placed above the Outboard flight display, and FSX froze.. Any ideas? Regards,

Tanner Novak

I wouldn't even run FSX on that, let alone a PMDG plane. Weird stuff like what you're experiencing always used to happen on my old laptop when I ran FSX on it. It was just too much for it to handle.

Tired of Streetlights everywhere? Try MSFS DarkStreets today!

Did the registration fail on it? Try reinstalling the NGX!

It runs the 747 and the MD11 perfectly fine though! That's what's crazy. Would it be a DirectX 10 thing or something?

I'll give that a shot. For some reason I got two activation keys, but it accepted the first one I gave it...

PMDG is also recommending a minimum of 4GB of RAM with this bird. 2GB is the minimum with add-ons disabled, such as REX or A.I. traffic add-ons.

No other addons... and a reinstall of the NGX didn't do anything. It never asked if I wanted to re-validate..

I mean, sorry if this is a stupid question, does the NGX need DirectX 10 installed to make it work? Currently, I don't have it installed on my system.
