December 24, 200322 yr In the weather options in FS2004 what does the "rate at which weather changes over time" slider do? If you put the on "None" and dowload the real world weather, will the weather still change? Or does it have to be on "Mild"
December 24, 200322 yr Commercial Member Hi,At NONE, no dynamic changes will occur, which means the weather you have set (via manual set, add-on set or RW download) will not change. When you turn on dynamics, the more the slider, the more rapid changes to the weather can occur based on computer stability and trends (and random factors). This brings you changing weather over time that is quite smooth. If flying with real-world weather, however, you should not use dynamics because when a real-world update occurs, the weather must now switch to the new conditions, which may be way off from what the dynamics have changed to. For smoother update transitions (with or without a weather add-on) you should thus leave dynamics off (none).Hope that helps!-Damian Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
December 24, 200322 yr Ok thanks :-) I always use the real world weather option and I had the dynamics set to mild, I will have to turn the dynamics off.
