August 6, 201114 yr Can we please stay on topic. If you have something to contribute regarding the OPs problem please do so in a factual and logical manner. State add-ons, current conditions and so on. Try to be as meticulous as possible. August 6, 201114 yr Author Mats, I think I may have found the issue and it is not related to weather. I believe it is related to a elevator trim or yoke controlled offset in FSUIPC. For some reason the model seems to be putting in a negative trim value as 'center'. Once I clear this by popping my yoke and get it to zero in FSUIPC, the AC flies fine after that. And yes, I gave it a go with ASE and worked great. Now the issue is how to zero out the value in joystick calibration. I did not BTW use FSUIPC to configure my CH yoke and pedals, never do. However, I just happen to look in there because if was the pitch axis that seemed to be causing the problem. So now, how do we keep that centered and not picking up some arbitrary negative value? Anyway, Mats, that is my finding. Joe Mats, I think I may have found the issue and it is not related to weather. I believe it is related to a elevator trim or yoke controlled offset in FSUIPC. August 6, 201114 yr Great Joe, Try to do some flight without any h/w attached. I managed to replicate the strange attitude without any controllers attached. We'll nail this one down! August 6, 201114 yr Author Thanks, will do, but may just have to disable them if that will work. I am a work in process homecockpit builder and pulling out controllers can be a bear . . . LOL JP Joe Porter
August 7, 201114 yr Yeh, i have the exact same issue im using the CH yoke, CH rudder pedals and saitek throttle. Mitch Peck
August 7, 201114 yr Author Ok, no yoke, problem still there. Recalibrated my CH yoke outside of FSX and now was showing a 0 center on the Elevators. However, I still had to manually 'bump' the yoke to get it to recenter in the AC. It had a very slow and difficult climb rate. I adjusted climb settings and had to use GA to get enough power to climb at 1000 fpm. Set to max rate climb and stll struggling to gain altitude. I don't belive this AC should struggle like this. I seem to think it is as if the AC is not in a clean state, I checked everything, gear, flaps, trims and even inspected the AC from outside, could not see anything that was dragging dirty. However, there seemed be some sounds similar to using the speed brake. I could not get the AC above 30,000 feet. I am sure I did not have any failure entereed. Anyway, this is getting to be unflyable. It is definately airfile related, this bird just does not want to fly correctly. Is is possible to use the house airfile for thiis AC? Really baffled. August 7, 201114 yr Author On another flight now and it definately has something to do with the pots in the CH Yoke, Rudder Pedals or the PFC throttle quadrant and the FSUIPC settings. I do not calibate with FSUIPC but it seems to actually be associated with these three devices. I reset and calibrated in my PFC module and made sure I did not have negative offsets in my control yoke settings and made sure the were zeroed and that the throttles were providing full range. Anyway, I got it to climb respectably. I have noticed some issues with the climb speed moving up and I have to go reset it on the CDU. Once I did this it seemed to settle in well to climb to cruise. There must be some association with the calibration of the rudder, yoke and throttle quadrants, only thing I can work with to get it to work. With the throttle, I notice that even with the autothrottle off, the AC still wants to limit my setting of the throttle, otherwise it is acting like is using the FMC setting even when the aurto throttle is disengaged. Just my 2 cents. Joe Joe Porter
August 8, 201114 yr So i'm having the same issue with Ch yoke rudder pedals and saitek throttle, what do you think I should do? Mitch Peck
