August 6, 201114 yr Not sure what happened to my other post but I have 2 questions. Still searching through all the manuals but have not found anything that answers my questions. 1 is there a way to use the HUD with the 2d Panel? 2 will I need to buy a training manual or something from Angle of Attack that shows a Cold and Dark startup tutorial? I am not a noob, and have over 7000 hours in the 767, 747, and MD-11. Have setup everything in the FMC for aircraft but with all the systems modeled in the 737-NGX its gonna take awhile to figure out how to do a Cold and Dark startup in the proper order. What made it easy in the past with the 747-400 was there were videos showing step by step procedures but the only thing I can find on the web is for the old PMDG 737-Legacy and that does not help cause it doesnt have everything the NGX does. August 6, 201114 yr With 7k hours it should be a breeze. If you could manage the old 737 then this one is bassically the same with a few little extras. A glance at the checklist should sort you out though. FRED

Yes - hit W. Worked for me at least, but it doesn't all the time. Should give you a full screen 2D HUD. Freezes sometimes though, for me anyways. 2. Ok just quick and dirty just to get you going, the most important items - Switch on battery, bus transfer to auto, start APU. Once APU is running, get her on buses. Flip on APU bleed, open isolation valve, check duct px. Put engine start switch to ground, then start lever to idle around 15% N2. Do the same for the other engine, get the generators on buses, make sure they supply bleed air and turn off the APU. Obviously I'm assuming you sorta know your way around the panel and no other failures/adverse circumstances prevail. Good luck.
