A question about 2D panels

Featured Replies

I really don't use them, except the pop up of the mcp, but I find with the ngx its really easy to turn the heading and alt knobs so I really don't use it either anymore, my question, is it possible for me to dump all the 2d panels from my ngx installation? And would doing so have any positive impact on the fps in the VC? My frames aren't bad but any little bit help's.

I don't think so. As PMDG does not like editing their configuration and all parts of the simulation are tied together. I expect that things will get worse if you do that. But that is just my thought.

I agree with the first statement they probably not like people mucking around inside their cfg filesLOL.gif But Im not sure if it would make things worse, at most probably no difference at all.

Not recommended, as the VC and 2D panels are codependent, and removing those panels could really muck up the sim. Besides, removing the 2D panels really won't give you any significant boost in performance, if any.
