  1. This is great. Thanks to the team for the huge effort! That GE powered freighter looks great, that's what i'm mostly looking forward to!

  3. Wait, what? If there is something the 747 can do well, it is hauling cargo! Nowadays, there are more 747s hauling freight than passengers. BTW, hats off to PMDG for making all those variants, including the 400M and 400BCF.
  4. I am quite confident that it will be an option. IIRC RSR has stated somewhere in this forum, that there will be roughly 180 customizable options. Chances are that headrests are one of those. EDIT: Quoting RSR: "Thus far we have all three engine variants and the 400 in the F, M, ER, BCF and plain old vanilla 400 variant, along with CRTs, LCDs, Standard standby instruments, EISD, GPS enabled or disabled, the old and new style of fuel scavenge, old and new style of apu fuel feed, and approximately 180 other options you can use to customize your airplane."

  9. I occasionally came across this minor issue. I found that switching the dome light on and off works as a workaround to get the flood lights working for me. But I never get this issue when I load my default flight (Beech Baron 58) so maybe it is the F-22. Cheers,

  11. The guy is right. FL420 does not exist. In RVSM airspace, that covers most parts of the globe, reaching from FL290 to FL410, Flight Levels are sperated by 2000ft for the same direction (Westbound Even, Eastbound Odd). Above RVSM it changes and for the same direction, separation becomes 4000ft. This means FL430, 470 and 510 for westbound, 410, 450 and 490 for eastbound. So technically FL420 does not exist.

    Sounds like you were descending in VNAV, with APP armed. The glideslope glideslope callout may indicate you were below the glideslope. Now you decided to go around, great decision. However I think you did not push the TO/GA and only selected V/S to establish a climb. As you only change pitch mode and not engage G/A mode, APP stays armed and when you climbed, APP captured the glideslope and went to LAND 3. That's at least what I think what happened, do not forget to push TO/GA when going around, it will automatically arm or activate LNAV for the Missed Approach procedure and disengages LOC or APP.

  14. Still no crashes on your side? Had a PMDG777X.dll crash yesterday, but also the StackHash showed up in Event Viewer at the same timestamp. First 8 flights (all 6+ hours) were uneventful.

    But is the G/S captured? If you're on LOC but still descending on f.i. V/S or FL CH, you still can get the autothrottle go into HOLD mode with G/S armed.
  16. Thanks for your clear response. Didn't think of the fact that the winds are retrieved from a file and that indeed for METARs ASN would need to put all METARs in a file for the 777 to read them. Interesting...
  17. Have you done the tutorial flight? Maybe that's one thing to start with.

    I'm pretty sure the 777 in APP mode with LOC and G/S captured does not go in HOLD mode. So you must've done something wrong during the approach. Can you confirm this happens when in APP mode?

    The front cargo holds are not pressurized/air conditioned, thus not displayed on the AIR synoptic.
  20. Would be great though to be able to retrieve METAR and TAFs through the interface from for example ASN. As winds aloft data can be pulled from ASN, why not METARs?
  21. PFPX already has a 777-300ER profile. Now waiting for a TOPCAT profile though.
  22. AF uses KGS just like every other European carrier.
  23. Why bother making a new one when there is one already coming with PFPX,
