ETOPS CDU Pre-flight planning question

Featured Replies

Asked this a couple months ago in another thread, but thought I'd start a new one just to keep it simpler. In short, I'd like to know how to create a temp waypoint as required for ETOPS operations for the flight plan. From our manual: Create waypoints in the Temporary NAV Database for the Critical Point (CP), ETOPS Entry Point (EEP), and the ETOPS Exit point (EXP) using the latitude/longitude coordinates on the Flight Plan ETOPS analysis. Use the waypoint name CP1 for the CP. Select WPT on the EFIS control Panel to display these waypoints on the Navigation Display. So where/how do I create temp waypoints in the NAV Database using the CDU?

ill look into my flightplanning manual and try to give you infos on the fuel needed.the fuel parameter is more important. you don t need in the fmc as they re in the flightplan but it s better. if you have the coordinates they re easy to input in your fmc dont see your problem. for the waypoints there are very easy to create and i was already able to do that with the first pmdg 744 ... i dont think you need to create into the navdatabase, but only into the cdu/fmc unless pmdg create another way but this is the way it s done in real life ...

just to add what is the company policy about that ?are they not using FIX fmc page ?i m no more qualified on 737s NG but i think it was the way in real ops. all the best.
