  1. I use PFPX as well, but only for the 777. Something looks funny with the way its planning your extra fuel. Whats your alternate? For HNL, OGG would be a normal planned alternate. For exsample. Tonights SEA-HNL flight (Flt 853) has 43,456 pounds planned (due to headwinds) with a ZFW of 130.4. That included full pax and 4590 lbs in the pits.
  2. Most of the AS flights leave with between 38,000 and 41,000 pounds on the Hawaii routes. And that's with full seats.
  3. Kyle, just a follow up... I did a full uninstall and reinstall per the posted instructions after our conversation last night, and I'm still getting the FUEL and ANTI-ICE caution. Looks like you're aware as others have reported the same fault, so I'll let you be. Other than that rather small issue, she's running great! Thanks for the awesome work!
  4. You got me thinking... I did noticed that my old panel states were still saved in the options, so I loaded the one I've used for the past couple years now. Should I try to build a new one from scratch? I use a modified version of the Long state..
  5. Update went great, flying first test flight now from JNU to ANC. Radar is up an running! Only item I've noticed is that I get a FUEL and ANTI-ICE warning when I do a recall of the caution and warning system. No fuel or anti-ice lights on the overhead, no config issues not I know of. Did a uninstall prior to the installation. Running on FSX.
  6. Are we required to download and reinstall both the base pack and the -600/-700 upgrade pack?
  7. So do you like it? I'm still on the fence, but its growing on me. 549AS is the first, should be on the line this weekend. I'm going to have to go and take a close look.
  8. Yeah I'm leaning toward a 960. Trying to compare between the ASUS and MSI models. Thanks for all of the feedback guys. I'll more then likely have some setup questions at some point as well.
  9. I know this is a hardware question, and may be more appropriate in another forum, but as an exclusive PMDG operator in FSX, I wanted to focus this question to the PMDG crowd. I'm currently running a Radeon HD5770 with great results in the NGX. I'd like to upgrade to a 2GB card for the future use of the PMDG 777 or 747V2, as well as get more performance for other programs such as FarCry 4. I'd like to stick to a 150 to 200 dollar range for an upgrade. I understand the GeForce cards are preferred over the Radeon cards for FSX use, can someone remind me why? And what's a good suggestion for that price range?
  10. One of the tests or tricks you can do (if you want) is to stop and set the parking brake during the taxi, bring the power up to around 40% N1, and the warning should clear. Other then that, it should clear as soon as you advance power during the takeoff.
  11. The NGX is the only aircraft I fly in FSX now days with over 1000 hours logged. Its truly near perfection in every aspect. I was only hoping for a -900ER addition to the NGX fleet as the RW airline I work for now has over 20 of them with many more to come. Many of the flight plans/performance reports I use are built for that aircraft type and no longer work for the -800, especially for the ETOPS routes. Personally I don't need a SP2, but I'd love to see that -900ER!
  12. Oh I believe it! Just for use in the NGX I'm having to check and recheck for transposed numbers as Im punching them in. RW would be even more of a pain I'd imagine.
  13. AS operates both the -800 and -900ER with 180 min ETOPS.
  14. Its planned much the same as all the other AS Hawaii routes with the -800 from SEA,PDX,SMF,OAK,SJD and SAN. Two ETOPS alternates are given, Cold Bay (PACD) and PHLI for yesterdays flight, more then likely the same for todays. The EEP and EXP and CP I believe are plotted much the same. The only real difference I've noticed is that most of the west coast to Hawaii routes will generally follow on of the airways i.e. A331, A332, R463, R464....etc..though I've seen flight plans that just skip across two or three airways or just bypass them all together. The ANC-HNL/OGG/KOA routes don't use published airways as there really aren't any. They just use lat and long fixes instead. For example, this was yesterdays FP for AS flight 870, ANC-HNL. ANC..ODK..55N52..50N52..45N53..40N54..35N55..30N56..ZOULU..ZIGIE..MAGGI3..HNL That compared to this mornings SEA-HNL FP of SEA..HAROB4..HQM..SEDAR..A331..ZOULU..APACK..MAGGI3..HNL
  15. I fly the Southeast AK milk run all the time without issue, and its up to 5 legs. You should be able to enter the next legs data into the FMC just as easy as the first flight.
  16. Would service based failures cause this? Can you try to "clear all failures" just to be sure?
  17. Thanks for doing this. I too will try and grab some shots next time I come across 560 out in the system. I've yet to get a close look at it.
  18. Very excited about this plane! I haven't seen it in person yet as I'm on vacation, but plan to go and take a look once I return to work next week. 560AS is my new favorite along with 512AS. Please someone paint this for the NGX!! Is a must for the FSX hanger.
  19. Hi Bill, In short, this requirement is for flights operating within ETOPS only per our SOP.
  20. I use it for all takeoffs and landings. Other then that I stow it around 10-18,000 then bring it down again around 10,000. Sometimes I'll drop it down in cruise to see if I'm going to clear some weather ahead, then put it away again.
