Import a route into the FMS

Featured Replies

Hi All, Thank you very much for this wonderful forum and this airplane. It is probably by far the best plane I ever flew on the sim. However, there is still something I can't work-out. I would like to import a route into the FMS, which would save me some time. I tried to have a look at my /NGX folder where all the routes are saved and I checked the format (.rte) which is the same as the one I use with AivlaSoft EFB. But, after spending quite a long time screen all the FMS options, there is no way I could find a method to import my routes. I tried the Company Route with ICAO and even the IATA codes for my airports with still the same message "INVALID ENTRY". I hope you can help out. Congrats again to PMDG for this wonderful plane. Regards, Romain TRAFIAL

Update your EFB, then when you save your flight plan with efb you should you should be able to save it to a pmdg flight plan folder. You then enter the name of the flplan in the fmc (coroute).

Appearently, From the EFB forum, the route format created is not compatible with the NGX yet. Lets hope it will be! Romain

You are correct. Until PMDG turns loose of the documentation on the new rte file structure AivlaSoft cannot provide the fix. Just guessing and shooting in the dark so far. Ray
