Black Screen after entering the FSX menus

Featured Replies

I am not sure if this would be a part of the freeze issue but this happens to me at any airport, in the air, whenever. When I enter the FSX map for example and click cancel to leave and get back into the flight, the screen turns back and does not respond to any key commands other than ESC key, then I am able to only exit the flight, when I press 'Continue Flight' the screen remains black. If I don't touch the FSX menu at all, I can complete the entire flight without an issue. Jacek Gawecki

I can also bring up the task manager but once I click on the FSX task, it brings me back to the black screen. It almost sounds like it's some sort of refresh issue, especially since I can click 'End Flight', FSX brings me back to the main FSX menu but in the area of the menu where the 738 is rotating, the black screen also appears there. I'm being told by PMDG that this is a known issue related to Nvidia drivers that has yet to be addressed.

This is a known issue as well as the Fatal Error: For texture issues: http://forums.flightsimlabs.com/index.php?/files/file/66-fsl-texturefix-v10zip/ Also read the PMDG introduction as well use the tuning tool here by ******* Bojote as recommended: http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html For fatal error: Download this file: http://www.search-dl...oncore.dll.html and place it in your default FSX Folder on mine it's C:\Games\FSX I am going to venture to say that you are running Windows 7 x64 and have an nVidia card. If you read where people say to delete the system32\uiautomationcore.dll that is NOT necessary as well you don't need to register the dll either otherwise other software will use that one and you don't want that either. I already have this .dll file in the main FSX folder, had it there for a loooong time now, so this is not an issue, especially since the FSX doesn't really crash to desktop.
