Autopilot Disconnect

Recommended Posts

Good Morning, I had an issue that I thought was related to Land 3 (earlier post) but alas, it doesnt appear to be soley stuck on that. I completed 3 or 4 flights without a hitch. The last 3 flights, while on approach, the autopilot disconects without input while on final approach (1/4 to 1 mile from touchdown). Yes, I have both FD's on, yes the ILS is on both radios, and yes when Land 3 is enabled I have both CMD's set. Any idea why this would be happening?

I'll try and get one the next time I am on approach.

Hi Frederic, Would you mind listing those reasons. This also has happened to me twice on final ILS approach. What I can advance is that at both times, althought autoland was up and running, the plane was not exactly aligned to the runway (bgl magnetic deviation?) and a little bit high (vasi lights all white). The airports are default: PAFA and PASC in Alaska.
