  1. Hi, Me again. Reading the forum, what I should have done before, I know now about an upper left click-spot on PFD and MFD to bring them to 2D. Now I will have more ground to study both. I'll be back here if I find something about the PROC page. Regards Heron
  2. Hi Cody614, This is my problem too. I guess the MAP softkey should appear here along with the ENGINE softkey or, at least, a BACK softkey. I am still studying this thing, but it seems the PROC page gets stuck after calling it. The other nag is I did not find a way to move both PFD and MFD screens to the second monitor. Flying in turbulent air makes almost impossible to turn the keys. Regards Heron
  3. After downloading the new MakeRwys 4.6.1.2 and running RC4 DB rebuild, SPIM is back to my plans. Thanks for your kind attention and clarifications. Regards Heron
  4. Yes, this is quite an issue. To work around, click on the 1st monitor (main panel) and then you can use HDG and CRS back on the 2nd monitor. This happen only with this Carenado panel piece. I use in the same 2nd monitor a GNS500 and WX500 without this problem. It seems this is the same software from C90. Regards, Heron
  5. Ronzie, Thanks for replying. The error is that neither the ICAO of Lima Airport is appearing in the RC4 Flight Plan nor is mentioned by the controllers (only silence) - but the destination is full pronounced (Chiclayo). The RC4 window shows the SPIM-SPHI plan starting from the SID: TIMOR1 BTE UV1 TRU SPHI I made another plan with SPIM at destination with the same result. The only addon for the region is FSGlobal (Terrain). I will verify the RCv4x\data folder and also makerwys.exe. Regards, Heron
  6. Hi, Is there someone with the same problem of mine - RC4 does not recognize my default SPIM, the Lima (Peru) International. Even building the plan in FSX planner, RC4 does not seems to know SPIM Thanks in advance. Regards Heron
  7. Hi, What could be the morse I've heard during my first RC4 flight between KBNA and KSAT with a PMDG737? I normally use the VOR signal OFF and turn it on only before capturing an ILS code to remind me to prepare things for landing. I am sure there was no NAV radios with the morse ON during all flight, but it was there. Did I miss something in the Manual? Regards,
  8. I have only one email and am used to purchase online. Anyway,, I'll wait until tonight before asking your help to generate a key for me asap. I would like to fly with RC4 during this weekend. Thanks for your attention. Regards
  9. Hi, I am having the same problem - my email is not found in the records. The RC4 purchase was via SWREG/Paypal. Thanks Heron
  10. I have purchased Kodiak for more than one year, but not the FS2X G1000 which I got yesterday after reading the announcement at Lionsheart site. The aircraft was kind of hangared because I really don't like that partial G1000 with most of its interesting functions not functioning. As I have the last RealityXP 450 and 550 WAAS, I thought it would be great learn to use the full G1000, you know, I'm almost 60 and should put the brain to work ;-)So, I installed the new Kodiak FS2X G1000 over the Kodiak default installation which worked well. On the first aircraft switch from the Cessna default to the Kodiak, FSX stopped responding.I am trying Don at the [email protected] for the answer and regards,
  11. Hi,I have just purchased the G1000 from FS2X and installed it on my Lionheart Kodiak, which worked perfectly till today. After this installation, when I switch from the default Cessna to the Kodiak, FSX hangs. The Forum at FS2X is closed and the author has no email published. Do you have an idea of what could be happening? Thanks for your attention
  12. Finally we got a new Y2K bug version XII. Or should we call it Y2KNGX bug?:DMerry Christmas to all ya guys,
  13. Thanks for the job. Installed both modules and let her fly: Just perfect!Regards from Rio,
  14. The most ridiculous parts are those sound files they publish at their site on which they talk more than an hour about things that should be done, as fire prevention, temperature and oxygen systems and other very important items simmers should be aware. At this pace, I calculate some 6 or more years to cover the whole NGX.I agree that their work (when done) has a high quality degree, but the way they do is kind of strange to me. I 've never thought about pre-paying for a so slow project - I couldn't imagine a thing like that.Next FS gadget to purchase: a nice USB fire extiguisher!!!Regards,
  15. I remember a B767 captain comment about approaching: "in a 767 the pilot must choose to slow down or descend, not both". After SP1, I thought the program was simulating this "feature" for the 800 and 900. But as soon as I purchased the 600-700 with the same behavior I concluded there was a bug somewhere.Sometimes I have a problem in my control unity and the gear down button won't work, having to use the G key. I did not note any change in the approach speeds.Regards,
  16. Hi,Since SP1 my approaches are hard to work, demanding more use of spoilers and receiving "you're not gonna make it" FMC messages ;-). I did not copy well this gear issue as I cannot see the relation between using G key or a button on my control.I am pretty sure the aircraft descend is harder to control after SP1. Before that, I never even thought about that, unless I let things go wrong only by my fault, as forgetting to program the FMC correctly.I've been using Cost Index from 40-80-100 with no different results on the approach speeds.Regards
  17. I am following this topic because, since last Aug, in two or three takeoffs this AP nag has happened. I could engage it after sometime (1 to 2 mins) but it has left a doubt in my mind: what could be wrong in such situation as the checklist was followed to the letter and the NGX was trimmed and FDs on and aligned? These events were before SP1, with the 800.Yesterday, taking off at the default KGEG-Spokane-WA with the 600, the A/P again refused to engage. And this time I had to hand-fly her more than 5 mins before succeding in engaging the A/P.All I can remember is: (1) It was a radar vectored departure (SPOKANE ONE) and the plan in FMC did not point directly to the first waypoint MLP VOR, as it was a runway heading T/O clearance, so only VNAV could be armed. (2) Although I think this is not important, I forgot to turn off the APU before T/O.Regards,
  18. Hi Captain, Enjoy your family and take your time at work. The acft is the greatest of them all and is working just as she is supposed to be: simply great. And, just between us, I imagined a first NGX SP ages after launch. Regards,
  19. Guys, the question posted is clear. Yes, it is possible to complete a flight in the NGX (or any other good acft) with default FS ATC. Sometimes, when testing new addons, we should fly with the default ATC (1) to be released from the VATSIM stress, (2) to use all framerates we need and (3) it is easy and quick to setup. When flying IFR, as soon as the default ATC says you are X nm from the destination and says you should turn N degrees left or right, open the radio screen and choose another approach. They will accept your choice and will ask to call them back when you're on final. So you can fly correctly the STAR and the final approach. In relation to the descend, use this rule: generally, ATC will ask you to descend very close to TD. If they ask you before TD, just use the DESC NOW on FMC. You'll descend at 500-1000 FT/Min until reach your VNAV descend path. Regards
  20. Hi Frederic, Would you mind listing those reasons. This also has happened to me twice on final ILS approach. What I can advance is that at both times, althought autoland was up and running, the plane was not exactly aligned to the runway (bgl magnetic deviation?) and a little bit high (vasi lights all white). The airports are default: PAFA and PASC in Alaska.
  21. As the NGX is a quite a bit more sophisticated than other commercial acft, quite a bit problems can arise from hardware items. I've read here a lot about freezes within the NGX community experience and the few I had were mere conflicts originated from a poorly configurated graphic unity or a sound issue - I observed that just before the freeze, I did something to demand a heavy graphic resource. We must have our attention on scenery, weather and traffic details just to remember the conditions that led to a crash. But talking about USB hubs, IMHO those should not be used for flying ;-) as the necessary equipment has powerful responses and deal with a complex electric environment. So, use your hub to plug a barcode reader or a bluetooth unity. Your joystick, throttles and pedals go straight into the main USB entries of the motherboard. Regards,
  22. Cristi, Would you mind explain your last phrase about "GS on" - from what I know, a simple LOC approach does not provide GS. As you said, only ILS provides GS. Regards,
  23. This happened to me after T/O PANC. No doors open, all overhead lights off, flaps up, gear up, spoilers at rest, speeds ok, but just this horn. Cross checking the overhead I found the engine bleeds were off - my fault - but, as I said, there were no lights warnings. I turned on the bleeds and sometime later the horn went off. Regards,
  24. Captains, For a GBF (good, beautiful and free) fuel planner, please go to http://www.volny.cz/fs2002/B737FPL/B737FPL.htm. Although this fine planner can also be used to read the actual weights and fuel the acft, I am using it only to calculate the fuel, inserting the quantity needed via FMC, as recommended by PMDG. Enjoy,
  25. Things here back to normal again. I reset FSUIPC to Normal Defaults and reassign the smooth weather settings (temp and pressure). It is still a mystery why this happened after ages without touching FSUIPC and just after NGX installation. Regards
