AC will Not Climb - FSUIPC Possible Conflick

Featured Replies

I am reopening this thread regarding the AC not climbing or descending correctly. I refer to this thread which was marked CLOSED based on my feedback that eliminated weather from ASE as the possible cause of the abnormality. The thread is http://forum.avsim.n...__fromsearch__1 I have not had any response to my latest testing which Mats Johansson was working with me. I know things are quite busy around the PMDG offices but I do not wish to have this issue, which is not isolated to me, considered 'closed'. I continue to have this issue and have found my only alternative is a work around which is to open FSUIPC and bounce the yoke until I get a zero alignment which will permit the AC to start a normal climb. I believe I have isolated it to the 'elevator' centering and a conflict with FSUIPC and PMDG which is causing the very abnormal flight characteristics. Anyway, just bringing the issue to the forefront. Now if it is in actualality 'closed' and PMDG believes the have the fix and will release it in an upcoming 'hotfix', then I am a happy camper. Right now it is just a nuance that makes an incredible product a bit unrealistic. Thanks Joe Sorry for the heading line typo, should have be 'conflict' but I can not edit that line.

Joe, I know, there's a great deal of movement on the forum, but it's been stated several times that calibrating controllers or passing controller axes through FSUIPC can cause significant problems with the NGX. It may be that the controller position data coming out of FSUIPC is the source of your problem. I recommend deleting the yoke calibration from your FSUIPC.ini, installing the latest drivers from CH, and giving it another try. I only offer this because of your reation to the last thing Mats recommended, which was that you remove the hardware...this does not mean disabling them through FSX, but physically disconnecting them from your computer. Physically disconnecting is an important step in troubleshooting your problem. Several of us had controller problems during wide beta, so we know what to look for.

Thanks I'll give your suggestion a go and see what happens. Joe
