August 10, 201114 yr Has anybody else had issues with getting the FD and AT switch to work? Everything else seems to be working fine with the MCP from vrinsight. I'm using your default assignments. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any comments on what I could be doing wrong is appreciated. I love using LINDA works great!!Norm.
August 10, 201114 yr Have you used the downloaded assignment of the MCP or have you tried to assign it yourself? Maybe try to assign it yourself again...? Anything else is working? August 11, 201114 yr Author I used the assignments that's came with the files. I will try reassigning them and report back. Yes as far as I can tell everything else is working as it should. Thanks,Norm.
August 11, 201114 yr Author Looks like I'm doing something wrong. I tried deleting the assignements for the FD and AT toggle switches and and reassigning them and they still don't work. I hear the switch sound but the switch in the cockpit for AT doesn't move. I also tried assigning only FD1 or FD2 and that didn't work either. I dont hear the switch sound for the FD. I'm not sure what else I can try. All other buttons and radio knobs work flawlessly.Norm.
August 12, 201114 yr Have you now updated to the new module (NGX 1.1)? There is nothing in it which will solve your problems, but then we could talk about the sam kind of code... and maybe things get better ... August 13, 201114 yr I have noticed that the Throttle ARM switch does not show "on" the switch stays as off! I do not understand your sentence, sorry! August 13, 201114 yr Commercial Member ATHR switch inside FSX/NGX could jump to the Off position "by itself" if you moving the throttle or your joystick axis assigned for throttle is jittering (not calibrated or have a noisy ressistors). August 14, 201114 yr Author Ok, I downloaded 1.1 and played around with it unfortunately the AT and FD toggle switch don't function. I changed assignments around and i've discovered if I assign the functions to a push button it works. Also I found one other item that doesn't function and it's the left most user programmable push button on the top row on the radio section. Anything I assign to that button does not respond. It's not the buttons themselves or the switches as I know they work with other aircraft. Do you have any idea what could be causing such issues. How do I check if FSUIPC is already assigning something to those which I believe will override LINDA. Thanks.Norm.
August 14, 201114 yr Commercial Member How do I check if FSUIPC is already assigning something to those which I believe will override LINDA.Easy way - remove or rename your fsuipc4.ini file and let FSUIPC re-create it from scratch. Then setup LINDA and check those switches again. Other way - open FSUIPC Buttons & switches panel, press desired button on MCP (or turn the switch) - if there any assignments done for you will see. Then check the "aircraft specific" box and test button/switch again. Remove any assignments by pressing "Clear" button. August 16, 201114 yr Author Bingo, I removed the ini file from the directory and started from scratch and it works! I don't want to redo my whole ini so I will try to find out what was being assigned by trying to find it in FSUIPC. Thanks for the help. Norm.
