In my NGX I have a 2-tone seatbelt, 2-tone chime and a 1-tone attendant call.

Think that was pretty simple to follow haha. The chime in my FSX is the exact same sound as the seatbelt sound, and the attendant call is a one tone sound similar to the one you hear when a passenger pushes the button to call for an attendant. I assumed this was correct

All 737NG's and Classics I've been on, have had a single tone, but way louder, chime for the fasten seatbelt sign... (and I do fly quite a bit NG's with lots of different customer numbers ;-) )
hmm, i must be mistaken, but i do agree, it does need to be a lot louder!

Regarding the volume

you can hear the 2-tone chime right at the beginning, but it's not very loud.
