Switching from ATI to NVIDIA

That could be or it could not. You change to any High end GFX cards you will require the good pure PSU. else your system will bottleneck itself. Yes bye bye money :) that is the reason I am not upgrading my new system to a new system :).
Oh yeah and it's not funny at all when you don't have any $-income at all in the moment :/ Do you think i should get a 700W certified PSU then or even close to 1000W? I want it to be rather futureproof LOL.gif

wouldn't think a 1000w is needed. If you are planning to go for the Nvidia check on there site which they recommend.Yes it's not funny when you have no green coming in but still you want to date the latest Beauty PMDG :)
Here are my specs: Windows 7 64-Biti7 975 extreme 3.3Ghz overclocked to 4Ghz12GB DDR3-1333 RAM (6x2)ATI Powercolor 5870 1GB (Driver: 11.7)ASUS P6TD MotherboardMonitor: HP 2335 (1920x1080)PSU Silverstone 1200WKoolance CPU-350AT CPU Water Block My FPS are better than Camell2's but not by a whole lot
Your PSU is listed. Try updating the drivers to the latest CCC 11.7. There was a post regarding the RAM I do not recollect but it was a couple of days ago , need to find that post in the same hardware section. It was something with bad performance in FSX on an i5 or an i7 not sure on a particular amount of RAM.

Hmm I'll have a look then. But 6GB should be more than enough, or am I missing something here? Worried.gif

That is a question that I would not be able to answer , Hey I don't have that kind of hardware :) , but before spending just search for that post , it is a recent post. And try the new drivers too. There http://forum.avsim.n...the-problem-is/ It talks about the NGX, hope this helps , so hold on to your $'s and try what is suggested.

Before i bought Sandy Bridge I used these RAM (3x2 configuration) in a i7 920 system. When I changed motherboard and CPU, I just transferred the old Corsair RAM into the new Sandy Bridge system. I think I'll have to buy 1 more stick to make a 4x2 configuration (= 8GB)

Why don't you try using just 4 GB.

Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus

Yes, do like ironmaiden says, 4 Gb is enough with the i5... Martin, your FSX settings are not optimal.! Do you know Nick´s guide for setting up the OS and FSX? http://www.simforums...187.html#198187 You should be able to have acceptable performance even with the ATI 5870: Use AA 8x box in Catalyst Center, NOT in FSX Set anisotropic to 16x in CCC and set aniso in FSX too Disable morpho and tessalation Catalyst AI: Advance MipMap: Performance Vertical refresh: Always off (you have the Bojote CFG tweak, right? ) AA-Mode: Adaptive Multi Sample Open GL: Don´t use FPS Limiter: Set to 30 FPS, not 25... Correct the following in FSX settings: Aircraft: Untick "Show cockpick tool tips" and "aircraft cash shadow on itself" Display settings: Cloud draw is way too high! Remember, ATI don´t like them clouds. Back off to default pls.! Turn cloud coverage a notch down too... Airport vehicles are FPS eaters, turn them down to minimum. Turn up the ships, ferries and boats, 30% is OK. Traffic down to 6-7% The ATI Powercolor 5870 is not a bad card, try overclock it: http://www.overclock...olor_5870/5.htm Good luck! (Held og lykke... ;) )

I just gave this a try, and I got about 2 FPS less in Kastrup. Very odd :S

Whoo is that so then you better tell the girl to come to me :) . But don't upgrade anything atm. But I still recommend a good PSU. Also remember if you go for the Nvidia you will need the good PSU. Have you updated CCC to 11.7 ? Post the CCC 3d settings. If you have AA enabled in FSX please disable it and enable it in CCC AA . post your ccc 3d settings. Hey are you guys facing this performance issue with PMDG girl ? How about everywhere else and other aircraft's ? Can post some awesome nude :) photos of the girl she looks too hot to handle
