December 31, 200322 yr Wondering if anyone is working on a Katana or Diamond Star, pay or freeware? These seem to becoming a new standard for economical GA, and the Katana is really making headway as a trainer. Would love to see one for FS2004, seems a natural...Best,Joel

January 1, 200422 yr Author I think that the maker of the Eurowings ATR, (Hans Hartmann) has something in the works of great great quality!Look here: http://www.digital-aviation.de/ewpforum/viewtopic.php?t=1666 (german language)http://www.digital-aviation.de/picspub/DA20/VCP_01.jpgHans mentions on november 7 2003: "(..) Release-Date ist noch dieses Jahr."Well 'this' year has ended, but it should not be very long anymore I guess...;)Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://www.emotipad.com/emoticons/Flying.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. January 1, 200422 yr How about the Diamond Star? A fantastic little aircraft and if anyone wants any pictures I'd me more than happy to help out (I'm training in one at the moment).Ian
January 1, 200422 yr I have some screenshots posted of the new Katana here...http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=107558&page=Just downloaded it today, thanks to the info in provided in this thread... It is a very nice aircraft, and has a 2-d panel as good as they come....-John
January 1, 200422 yr The V/C is fine, but they did some tricks with the 2-d cockpit that makes it better than flying with a VC, IMHO.... I'm really impressed with this aircraft and I've been flying it over Germany for several hours now...-John
January 1, 200422 yr I downloaded it also. Very nice job! Any one know how they make many of the key instruments popup to that nice large size so they can be read by folks that can't run 1600X1200 on a 21" monitor? -- we don't see like 18 year olds anymore. One time when "popups" are welcomed! Sidebar --- My Google "popup" killer now has 246 and works great.Regards,BobSSeems the rage to talk about the "size and speed" of each others computer. Beat this if you can for solving novel/unique problems.. ..Have K&E and know how to use it!
January 2, 200422 yr Have to say that German version from the Eurowings team looks SUPER impressive... think I'll wait for it, hope not too long!Best,Joel
January 2, 200422 yr Author Joel,I've asked Hans Hartmann about it and he said that it could be some time because he needs the still to be released SDK's from MS. :(Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://www.emotipad.com/emoticons/Flying.gif"To go up, pull the stick back.
