August 14, 201114 yr Hello, I just want to share this with you all. I realy like to start my flight from the location where I landed and parked my brand new NGX. :) Also I want it to be in the same state as I left it.So here is how I do ti. 1. When I park and shut down I save my flight and mark it as default flight. There is a checkbox at the bottom of the window "Make this as default flight". I call this save "Current" 2. This step neads to be done only once. In FMC go to PMDG Setup and click Startup State.PMDG did great thing as they are saving plane state with FSX save. So in this list you can find saved "Current.flt". Select it. So now, every time I startup FSX I just click fly now, and I'm in the position, on current time, and plane state as I left it. Only thing that has to be done after each flight is just save the flight as "Current". FSX remembers "Default flight" flag. This way you dont need second loading of plane state as you would nead it if you saved panel state only in fmc. Enjoy... August 14, 201114 yr Nice, but if there is a problem with the plane when you save it, you could be in trouble getting it back in flyable shape. Two days ago I somehow managed to save a corrupted flight as the default, and it took me a day to get it back in working order (I could do it in five minutes now, so it was not a total loss). August 14, 201114 yr Author Yes, thats why its good to have one clean panel state save. That way, you can always load it from fmc and resave default flight. Danko Ryzen 9 9950X3D, 64Gb DDR5@6000Mhz cl30, PCIe 4 NVMe SSD, RTX4090 GPU
August 14, 201114 yr Been able to do this for sometime with other add ons also...just use fsupic that will autosave a flight on exit, do as op posted and call this flight current and set that as default panel state, then it will always load as you last left it, and don't need to remember to do a safe at the end of each flight, as it already done for you.If you ever get corrupt save, two easy ways out, if the plane still loads but configure dodgy, then just go to the option to load panel state and load one of the PMDG ones, cold dark etc. If plane won't load because of dodgy save, then just go into your flights folder where they saved and delete the entries for current, there be 4 files, in PMDG panel state and also in where ever your autos saves go. Then start again.Ive been using this option now for years with level d etc and great way to always return to your plane as you last left it, which makes for more realisim. The panel state save bug was fixed in the hotfix I believe, I no longer get funny rad alt. Regards James Carr
