Service Based Failures

Featured Replies

Guys, first of all loved the new NGX and gives me great pleasure to fly in FSX. Regarding the failures I wonder if is possible to make the plane "get older" more quickly to find out if troubles shows up more frequently. At the aircraft INI´s files there is section call [Failure Groups] and Run Timer.0=xxxxx. How to edit this numbers to achive more older planes? More than that I wonder if in the future PMDG could make a windows app, to make planes older, to get it maintenance OK and check if there are no-go itens before flights as per MEL. What do you guys think about that? Regards,Alexandre

And without air start equipment? SOL.
Not sure if the NG's can do it...but the -200's use a "Buddy-Hose" when they get stuck....just connect up the hose from your donor aircraft to your slave aircraft. The donor coupling has little fingers to push open the little check valve at the pneumatic connector and your good to go. Looking at the NG diagram don't see why it wouldn't work with the NG's Makes for an expensive air start but if you've got another a/c nearby or at a field without adequate air-start facilities (you'd be surprised how long some of those units sit unfortunately) just wait for the next sked and send up the hose with the AME anyways. Lot's of the time the Mechanic crawls up in the APU coffin there and resets some codes and clean up the connector on the Load Control Valve and you good to go...at least to get another start out of it and get once engine turnin'.
