Most people do assume it's the plane's fault instead of their own, actually. When it comes to complex aircraft simulations, it's usually best to assume you're the one at fault, honestly, unless you know for absolute fact that you're the one in the right. This is why the manuals and tutorials are included with the plane. Think of it this way: If someone with a joystick and a computer could fly this thing well enough without reading, or learning, would there really be a reason for a type rating?
