August 16, 201114 yr HiI run a triple monitor setup with matrox th2go.I understand that I need to make some adjustments to the window size entries in thevpanel.cfg file because of this, however I can not get the lower main (shift 2) and window overhead (shift 6) to display.I click on these however I then get the flashing Mose cursor issue which kills fps.Can anyone assist?Thx
August 16, 201114 yr One of the Virtual cockpit views is the overhead panel. Just go into VC and press the A key until you get to the overhead ( or right click/virtual cockpit/overhead). August 17, 201114 yr Author CAN YOU NOT JUST USE THE CLICK SPOTS AND THEN MOVE THE PANELS TO ANOTHER MONITOR AND USE THE MOUSE TO RESIZE THEM ? FRED.No unfortunately these 2d screens don't appear when pressing relevant keyboard commands. They activate the mouse pointer issue. If I understand correctly this is something to do with triple monitor setup and window sizes in panel.cfgCheers
August 17, 201114 yr File a support ticket giving as much detail possible and all the hardware/specs you use. August 17, 201114 yr Commercial Member Triple monitor setups are a bit different than single monitor. You're correct, the panel sizes must be adjusted for them to show. I have never done this, as I don't see the need to open any of the 2D panels with the exception of the ND, Aft Electronics Panel, and of course the CDU. All the mentioned panels will open simply be clicking on the screen (nice), and as Di kindly pointed out the overhead panel is available via the jump seat view (exception view as well). If I attempt to open any other panel (on any aircrash ;)), I get the dreaded processing circle, though I'm not sure if the triple head 2 go gets this (I run Eye Infinity). I hate to do this, but on the Level-D forums, someone has posted the window sizes. They may not be 100% accurate, but they will get you into the right area. At some point I intend to work this out (unless someone else does!), and if there is no resolution available, I'll post the correct window dimensions. By the way, it's monitor size specific, so the dimensions for say three 23" monitors won't be the same for three 24" monitors. Hang in there! Di, do you run multi-monitor? August 17, 201114 yr *shame face* I run a laptop. But it's a good one! It's a 2nd gen SB and it runs the NGX well! Hahaha. I move far too much for non-portable hardware. August 17, 201114 yr Commercial Member No shame in that! You know, I always miss my FSX when I'm on the road. I have a HP with a duo 1.6ghz processor and only 3gb of ram, I don't think that will handle FSX. Have you been looking at the 7"/8" USB touch screen monitors? Very nice addition for a laptop running FSX. I'm a step away from picking one up to use as my FMC. A step closer I think... August 17, 201114 yr Sounds like a nice tool! Unfortunately I'm saving up for a desktop system (hopefully a permanent one). I think I'm going to have some fun tomorrow and plug my laptop into a nice big 46" Samsung LED tomorrow. See how that goes.
