August 18, 201114 yr I have an interesting little issue, when programming the fmc if I set it at full fuel, full weight then setup the rest of the fmc it gives me v speeds of 104,104,122 okhowever if I then start again with 1/3 fuel and an empty plane it still reproduces the same v speeds which is surely not correct!upon further examination the full plane is showing a g/w and tow of 61.2 and at the empty setup initially i get the same weights if i then activate the qrh it gives me a g/w of 30.4 and a t/o of 61.2over to you guys!
August 18, 201114 yr If you're looking for feedback, it might be an idea to indicate which model, which repaint, any hotfixes installed? August 18, 201114 yr You might also check your procedures. The already selected speeds are not automatically deleted when you change the fuel/payload etc. but the recommend values do change when you update the init ref page with your new gross weights. This is actually correct behaviour as it is quite possible to program the FMC with a full fuel load but not actually load the fuel. Same with payload, the Captain enters the values from the load sheets he is given, but he does not get out and weigh the passengers individually. There have even been crashes directly attributed to load sheet values differing significantly from reality. Paul Smith.
August 18, 201114 yr My question was more about what you do after you change the fuel and payload. Do you go back to the init ref page and update it with the new figures? If you don't, then nothing else will be updated. Paul Smith.
