August 19, 201114 yr Ran the hotfix having removed the additional liveries( had only used 800 wl). Before reinstalling liveries checked operation of sim and all seemed well. Tried to install liveries but Livery manager crashed and amongst other things wiped the aircraft config for the particular model. Now I think I can probably solve this without help but where the difficulty occurred was when I decided to unistall and get a clean start up. I thought hotfix 3 would be embedded so assumed I could use the original method of running the installer(per the instructions) to get an option to remove. I then found that it instructed me that a later version was in place which had to be removed first. OK so I went to the hotfix install and ran that. The only option it would give me, having told me it was already installed and did I wish to continue, was to run or not. Tried both. Not running did nothing, running then just installed over existing without any obvious issues except the lost config file did not reappear. My concern therefore is that I don't want to do anything else until I can effectively uninstall. I finished up running the restore in Windows which has put me back two days, which is fine, but screwed up my virus software which took another hour to resolve-but that is another matter. All security was off whist I performed the various functions for NGX. So how do I unsinstall please once the hotfix is in place? Martin Madden
August 19, 201114 yr Go to control panel. Add & remove programs (it's called different in win 7. Look under P in control panel) find the NGX. Click uninstall. August 19, 201114 yr Author Thanks but I know how to remove using the ADD/Remove option but that is not inline with the " read me" instructions and is why I didn't do it that way . If the instruction says do it another way it is usually for reason. Martin Madden

August 19, 201114 yr I just answered to that what I quoted ... and why not use the ADD/REMOVE for uninstall ? and if you lost some cfg files and cant restore it you can do either uninstall it with ADD/REMOVE and then install again ...The hotfix is just a patch and not a full installer ... and if you cant get those files back with the patch you have to use the full installer again and I would just uninstall it and then reinstall everything else again P.L.
