You need to open the FSUIPC4.ini and edit the [vrinsight] section of the file, you have too many lines with com=3 in them, and most likely your MCP isn't using com=3 anyway. You need to check what port it is really using by starting SerialFP2 and seeing which port it is reporting as the MCP is using.

This is the last part of the ini file [VRInsight]1=com3 My point is nothing is working through the mc combo. I can assign a joystick button though. Non of the buttons or knobs are working on the vr insight hardware but the Linda console says it is ready.

I now have no error in the console and it says ready to go captain but nothing is working including any default aircraft. VRinsight is on com 3 verified using serialfp2. All that show up on the vr insight combi is Serial v2.5020 MCP-Comni SN:_VRi_ Is all I have to do is start LINDA?I even try to reload the linda engine: HID enumerate finished!Restoring previous aircraft...Restore finished!********* FSUIPC4, Version 4.726 by Pete Dowson *********Reading options from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\FSUIPC4.ini"Trying to connect to SimConnect Acc/SP2 Oct07 ...User Name="Chris Chiozza"User Addr="cachiozza@hotmail.com"FSUIPC4 Key is providedWIDEFS7 not user registered, or expiredRunning inside FSX on Windows 7 (using SimConnect Acc/SP2 Oct07)Module base=61000000Wind smoothing fix is fully installedDebugStatus=15System time = 21/08/2011 10:47:06FLT path = "C:\Users\Chris\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\"FS path = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\"LogOptions=00000000 00000001SimConnect_Open succeeded: waiting to check version okayVRI port 1 "com3" openedVRI FMER ("MCP Combi") detected on port com3 --- NEW LOGGING SESSION ----------- Running in "Microsoft Flight Simulator X", Version: 10.0.61472.0 (SimConnect: 10.0.61259.0)Initialising SimConnect data requests nowFSUIPC Menu entry addedC:\Users\Chris\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\S.FLTC:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 737-900NGX WL\B737-900WL.AIRC:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\B737_800\Boeing737-800.AIRSystem time = 21/08/2011 10:48:05, Simulator time = 10:47:10 (15:47Z)Aircraft="Boeing 737-800 Paint1"Starting everything now ...beginning "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\ipcReady.lua"ended "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\ipcReady.lua" [iNIT] Loading...Aircraft: Boeing 737-800 Paint1Aircraft module detected: FSX DefaultAivlaSoft library loaded...FSX standard library loaded...RealityXP library loaded...A2A MAP library loaded...Advanced Weather Interface EnabledModule: FSX Default Started...Ready to go, Captain!
