August 24, 201114 yr You know this, but, Plan-G is 'VFR' flight planner and so you would plan and fly your flight using VOR, NDB and user-chosen (visual) way points. Plan-G accepts your wind direction, strength and airspeed and calculates your course heading and track, which you then proceed to fly, either 'hands-on' or by dialling the heading into your auto-pilot if fitted. Plan-G reads data from FSX, but doesn't pass it up to FSX. You can save your Plan-G flight Plan as a .pln file, and open that in your FSX flight planning tool, and then on to your GPS. I have Plan-G open on a networked Laptop as I fly. I know it's a big document, but it's all there in the Plan-G manual. Best wishes,
August 24, 201114 yr Moderator Well you CAN plan and follow IFR flights just fine with Plan-G. What you can NOT do is load a plan-g file (.plg) into FSX directly. Create the plan in Plan-G and save it as a .PLN file. Load this into FSX and it will be loaded into your GPS. Now fly it as you would any other GPS loaded flight plan, using autopilot, etc. If you do not know how to do that, I suggest the FSX Learning Center for some basic familiarity. After you have all this and have the plan loaded into FSX and with FSX running - click CONNECT in upper right side of menu in Plan-G and it will connect to FSX and show your aircraft on the moving map. If you also load the plan into Plan-g, it will give you additional info as you fly. Read the Plan-G manual for more. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
