August 24, 201114 yr It seems to be random whether a saved state or following the process in the tutorial, starts with engines running. If the engines are not running then even going to cold and dark and then following the checklist seems to only allow left engine to start. Right just won't start. I have followed the tutorial flight and some of my own without problems except for this. Saved panel stated also don't seem to necessarilly end up with engines started. Any ideas how to solve this. Apart from this I am having great fun with the airplane though I have no experience of flying such a complicated simulation before. Peter Rowan

August 24, 201114 yr Author Are you turning the engine selector Knob to the Right Engine when you are trying to start it?Yes. I point it to the engine I am trying to start. I know cold and dark quite well as I have the Ifly 737ng as well but the main problem is that the state as per the tutorials instruction for example sometimes seems to start with the engine running but if it doesn't then the right engine won't ever start and non of the saved standard states will start with the engine staring then.
August 24, 201114 yr Well this definately is not the Ifly lol so I guess even though you flew the Ifly your still missing something on the right engine. Not sure what it is. Try getting these 737-NGX Flow checklists. Use the one for the 800 series with Hints and should get you going. http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?Location=AVSIM&Proto=ftp&DLID=161004 Paul Deemer

Peter RowanI too had this problem until I discovered that you need to make sure that the Isolation Valve has to be in the Auto position for the right engine to start.By default it is up and okay for the left engine start. August 24, 201114 yr Author I'll check that. But half of the issue is being able to save a state that has the engine running and that state being able to be recovered consistently. Am I the only one who has that problem.
August 26, 201114 yr Author All fine now including being able to start from cold and dark. This is a great product. I have had no issues which are not my learning curve. I have had no freezes etc.
