  1. Ok so how do you load plan g data into x-plane then Peter Rowan
  2. Thanks. Can't find any documentation. After installing IPC/XPUIPC what would be the process from FSC say to XPX. Do you save as a given format etc or is it a direct connect. How do you see the FlightPlan ix X-plane or does it only work for FMC type planes etc. Does FSC work as a moving map for x-plane etc. Peter Rowan 'There are more questions than answers'
  3. FSX does have the option of "auto rudder", which is convienent for those without pedals. I do not know, if something like this exist's within X-Plane, as I always use rudder pedals, and don't like the twist grip option. Other than that, it has nothing to do with (specific sim) flight models, as has recently been suggested elsewhere. Both sims will require rudder pressure on the takeoff roll & climbeout.............for a well made model. Its more a case of excessive propeller effect in my opinion. I have to twist almost half way. If it can't be changed then that is fine. Peter Rowan
  4. I have 2 applications for Flightplanning that are very good - Fsbuild and FSC (I am a Microsoft FS user from many years moving across to X-plane because of my disgust with Microsoft and its treatment of FS and its market place) . Can I use these with x-plane and if so what is the process. Peter Rowan
  5. You have just given me a good excuse to buy foot pedals . Peter Rowan
  6. My problems with x-plane.org were mainly newbie stupidity. It does say that you have to post against 2 messages before you can raise a new post and I should have read that. I have never seen such a requirement on a forum before so I wasn't expecting it so my bad, but why 2 admins and a moderator didn't reply to my notes after 4 days even to say RTFM is not impressive. But again same question - is there any way to add a trim indicator and how do I increase ground friction so that propeller effect doesn't have such a strong effect. I really need foot pedals as then it wouldn't be such a problem. Also another question not answered was the best default plane from a model point of view ( I have downloaded some carenado planes - I think the v-35 - this btw has at least a light that lights when trim is used. In a real GA plane you can feel trim through the stick but here there is no feedback so I can't even tell if Its repeating when you hold down and getting the plane in trim is talking too much effort. 7. Somehow during the reinstall the transparency option in FSX settings had been set to 100%. Only FS2 Crew panels seem to have been affected. I didn't set that value but eventually noticed it. It is on the same panel as the start in 2d option in FSX setti Peter Rowan
  8. Still not working for me. Very strange. Neither the base web site or the link to the on-line manual works. Have turned off firewall and can get to other web sites.Peter Rowan
  9. As the title. Wouldn't matter but for the online manuals which I need to run the flight. Good reason for not using online manuals! Looking forward to the tutorial.Peter Rowan
  10. I would welcome a tutorial. I cannot work out how to get started. I'm sure it is just terminology but If someone could talk through what to do once voice is set up to start the first flow - How the panel once opened when 737 is on screenshould be setup etc. and what to say to start the first checklist etc. I am sure I could work it out from there.Peter Rowan
  11. Still 403 errorsPeter Rowan
  12. Actually I sort of like the game but the name drives me mad. Every time I want to find something new about flight apart from this forum and I do an internet search on Microsoft Flight or even try to find some support on the microsoft site I get hundreds of useless results for Microsoft Flight Simulator etc. Its impossible to just find out about Flight. Does anyone have an solution. Peter Rowan
  13. Probably not as I had closed down and hadn't yet set up anything in the FMC at that point.Peter Rowan
  14. I have just installed the 600/700 and have had a perfect trial flight and autoland but restarting from cold and dark the Yaw damper won't stay on and the light stays on. If I click the switch it holds for a little while and then switches back and the light stays on. Engine starts fine but no matter what I do can't get Yaw damper to hold on. I don't rememebr ever having this problem before. Is it a case of RTFM.Peter Rowan
  15. Isn't the point that there should be (no complaints here - I am completely impressed with the accuracy of this Airplane's simulation) a way of doing this via the simulation directly using a button somwhere on the panels. Surely that is the way a pilot would do it. What would a pilot press to turn on or off the morse code. Wouldn't there also be a volume control on the radio panels. I also use the ctl combination for the radio sounds turn on as a common used EZdoc view so they get turned on by accident most of the time.Peter Rowan
