Flight Planning for x-plane

Featured Replies

I have 2 applications for Flightplanning that are very good - Fsbuild and FSC (I am a Microsoft FS user from many years moving across to X-plane because of my disgust with Microsoft and its treatment of FS and its market place) . Can I use these with x-plane and if so what is the process.

Hello Peter,

Yes, FSC will work with x-plane. Just use XPUIPC, but hold on to your FSX database as I do not think FSC supports X-plane data.

I used FSC with X-plane for a long time until I went to Plan-G V3 which now supports and uses X-Plane data.

Thanks. Can't find any documentation. After installing IPC/XPUIPC what would be the process from FSC say to XPX. Do you save as a given format etc or is it a direct connect. How do you see the FlightPlan ix X-plane or does it only work for FMC type planes etc. Does FSC work as a moving map for x-plane etc.

'There are more questions than answers'

Oh my, its been close to a year I think since I worked with FSC/X-plane. The XPUIPC just takes the place of FSUIPC, I cannot remember

how I set it up, I would guess it was within FSC and of course you do need XPUIPC installed into x-plane PLUGIN directory.

My XPUIPC is under: X-plane10/Resources/Plugins. Extract into that directory and you should be good to go.

Take a look at the FSC forum, I know there is some info in there or you may have to ask again just how FSC handles it. I know that it

does work as I used it for quite a while.

Regarding Flight plan question, sorry do not know.

FSC will show as a moving map for for you just like FSX did.

Sorry I could not be of more help and as I said, the FSC forum would probably help.

Ok so how do you load plan g data into x-plane then

Peter Rowan

Plan G does that, you just tell it where your X-plane.exe is located, I do not remember what FSC does.

Moving Map works fine from FSC.

Thanks
