August 24, 201114 yr G'day, I know I probably could have looked around but I would like to be a little more specific to you all. My Saitek Pro Flight Yoke, after just under 2 years, well, I am sick of it. Had two problems already and I am worried that if something else goes after the warranty expires (Jan 2012), then I am in big trouble so I would like to replace it now. Obviously I don't want a Pro Flight Yoke and I don't want anything from CH either cos of that plastic shaft. I am looking at something with a max price of $300. I honestly don't know if such thing exists but I am hoping one of you will. Regards, Both optimists and pessimists contribute to our society. August 24, 201114 yr Although it has a plastic shaft, I do not think you will find a better yoke for under $300 than the CH Eclipse. I had my reservations at first as well regarding the plastic construction, but my opinion changed dramatically after my first few flights. Don't fall into the ignorant herd that thinks because it's not a metal shaft it's junk. Another thing to look forward to is no damn detent! :) It should be noted that there are different grades of plastic, and the plastic used by CH is not sode-bottle plastic nor cheap flimsy plastic. I've had my Eclipse for two years and it still calibrates and flies beautifully. Don't judge a book by it's cover I say... ;) Philip Manhart :American Flag: - "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." ~ Plato

Also make sure you get the Dupont Performance Silicone with Teflon lubricant for $5 and you will be all set. Cheers, - jahman.
