And you're trying to argue that RAID and SSD's are what's best for FSX which is wrong. Raid causes performance issue unless done through a raid card (expensive) and VRaps are better than most SSDs because of the 4K read time, what FSX primarily uses. That's the SSD's weak point.

yes, USB thumb drives. they are SSDs aren't they, just got one SS chip. May be wrong.

And a Vrap? a Vrap does 1MB/s in random 4K reads. Keep in mind in small random reads access time is very importantWhere did you get the idea?

All hale the boss. Di, just read around and you will get a very good idea. Its what I do when I am not flight simming and trying to save power. Anyone know how I can turn my FS rig into a Emachine? I can make it quieter buy just running the corsair fan in the rad but not really more efficient.
