I will during dinner. I wonder if you can use the HDD for SRT cos that would fly. The blue seems to be faster than the VRap in the read/write but I wonder on the rest. Off to make some videos, practice makes perfect and thats what I need with my videos cos they are pretty lame. Got Sony Vegas and I have inserted that external HDD so Fraps should run a little better.Q quick question which I should probably put in the FSX forum but where has my Direct X 10 preview option gone, its disappeared.

Yeah. The 150GB SATAII Vraps were never that good. Is that the SATAIII Cav Blue? It would be nice to see the benchmarks compared to a Cav Black 64MB and a 600GB SATAIII VRap

its a SATA III one yes. 1TB and I think I might actually be getting an SSD after I buy the monitor. Weather its for SRT or stand alone I don't know.Maybe more RAM would be a better choice.

Yes very. We are getting a 3D 46" Sony LED, I will hook it up to that occasionally. I have the money for the SSD as well its just a question of which one. I do like the idea of speeding up the whole system with SRT but having 60GB of full speed storage would be nice. I think SRT only uses 40GB so i get 20GB of quick storage anyway.

But either way, the SSD is still faster than SRT, even though SRT is pretty quick.

I accidently flicked the power switch on the PSU when I was around the back plugging monitors in. Now I boot and it says resuming windows then goes to a flashing white line. What do I do!I don't know why it says resuming windows when the power to the system was completely cut off.Can not get into windows at all!

fixed, just ran the repair thing on windows 7 disc. I need to recommend to corsair to have some sort of safety thing on the power cord and switch cos I have come too close to it nearlt three times now.

It's a gismo. To try and make out it has these new features. Marketing ploy. The fastest SATA hard drives we have are ~550MB/s SSDs. SATAII is 3GB/s.
Um, No. 3Gb/s (Giga bits / sec) thats 300MB/s (Mega Bytes / sec):
With a native transfer rate of 3.0 Gbit/s, and taking 8b/10b encoding into account, the maximum uncoded transfer rate is 2.4 Gbit/s (300 MB/s)
Mechanical drives can't take advantage of SATA III. SSD's can

Ok its all fine but something a little alariming. You know how there can be that little tick on shitdown, just before all the fans turn off, I heard it in windows but there was no shutdown, any ideas?

It must have gone in to a hibernating mode. What exactly happened and when it happened ?

I accidently flicked the switch. It did something to the HDD I had to repair but now it seems fine.
aha that's ok not to worry.
