FMC For Default Aircraft

Featured Replies

Hey everyone! I know I could just buy payware aircraft but sometimes I use the default CRJ-700 (and I got a panel addon and some sounds) and all it needs in an FMC. I know theres friendlypanels but I don't like how it adds a VNAV button to the CRj because a CRJ doesn't have VNAV. Then I got VASFMC and I installed it but nothing happened. Am I doing something wrong there? So what other programs, typically freeware, will give me an FMC for the CRJ-700. Thanks!

Hi, Unfortunately, there is no other way to add a fully functional FMS to the default aircrafts. You are in the right direction by getting VasFMC and it's probably the closest you will get to a real FMS on default aircrafts right now. It is a standalone software so it works outside of FSX and can be updated via Navigraph AIRAC cycles (paid). AIRAC 1109 was released yesterday by Navigraph and I highly recommend getting the most recent cycle to make sure you're following the actual procedures (for realism). Since VasFMC works outside of FSX, it needs FSUIPC to communicate properly with the simulator. I believe it also needs a little manual modification to aircraft cfg files to function properly. Read up on it here Also, there is an update to the default panel in the CRJ-700. If you want, you can download the updated panel here Let me know how it goes. If there's anything else you would like help with, don't hesitate sending me a private message or just posting here. Cheers

Okay then i'll go with the one with the 2 points XD

You could also use Garreth Smith's free Honywell FMC available from the Avsim library (honeywellfmc.zip). Extract from the readme :

to add a popup window:copy guage to your FSX guage folder.edit the panel.cfg of aircraft. add to [Window Titles] WindowXX=FMC //XX = next available window number, or replace your GPS window add the window section //--------------------------------------------------------[WindowXX]Background_color=16,16,16size_mm=325,512window_size_ratio=1.000 position=0visible=0ident=GPS_PANEL // change if you keep your GPS windowwindow_size= 0.255, 0.475window_pos= 0.745, 0.520 gauge00=HoneywellFMC!fmc, 0,0,325,512//--------------------------------------------------------
