Cause BUFFET ALERT?

Featured Replies

It only took me me one minute to find answer for you same problem.

And get it completely wrong!

Sorry to post 5 years in the future. But I've recently found a solution so you can no longer receive any more "Buffet Alerts"

I found on YouTube that one guy said to takeoff after V2, not VR.

I later tested this theory, and it is correct. I received no buffet alerts.

This isn't actually correct.

Vr is rotate speed. You simply begin your rotation at that speed. V2 is your takeoff safety speed. If you take the time to read the FCTM (or even the tutorial), it will tell you the technique to apply.

In practice, yes, you should be above both of them (V2 + 10 is what many people use), but it isn't as formulaic as "take off after V2." It's "begin your rotation at Vr, and in so doing, you will be airborne around or above V2."
