January 7, 200422 yr Hiya,Can I just ask what's going on with the clearance unlimited site? When I go there all I get is a cream screen with a login box and a 'domain name' box? How do I access the site? Do I have the right address? www.clearanceunlimited.comthanks
January 7, 200422 yr Yes. I thought I read that they were shutting down. This appears to be the case. Try: http://www.myairplane.com/ for US charts. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
January 7, 200422 yr Thanks. Thats a shame that there shutting down. Why's that? Do you know were I can get SID's, IAP's and ground plates? That site only has STARS. I would like some Australasian (AU/NZ) and European ones too. ThanksRichard
January 7, 200422 yr I honestly don't remember the exact reason for shutting down. I don't know of any other free sites that have any other plates. Maybe some other people have had better luck finding a few others. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
January 7, 200422 yr Author Check out VATSIM for european & Australasian charts. i Believe UK charts were accessible on there. Also, the following link is great for NZ chartshttp://www.simhardware.co.nz/charts/charts.htmlCheersLungsPS Sad to see Clearance Unlimited go - I got my first star chart from there back in 2000 *misty eyes*. From there, you can click the link for STARs and for everything else, type the ICAO code in the box for the airport you want and hit enter. Scroll down for GPS, ILS, Airport and SIDs. It's only for US, but everything is there. They're in Adobe, so they print out real nice. They also have sectionals, but they're not in Adobe (boo). I liked the RW routes on CU, too. For that, I use FltPlan.com, now. It's excellent for route planning. Gives you the proper altitudes, includes STARs and nearby routes, if there isn't one stored for the flight you want to fly. Also gives winds aloft and flight times based on forcast winds, so you can pick the best altitude, if you fly using downloaded weather. You can store 50 flight plans. It's for RW pilots, but it's free and is fine for simming. Clearance Unlimited was great, but I've found these two sites to be all I need for US flights. Now, if I could only find some nice printable charts for Canada (namely Toronto STARs and CYYZ Diagram).
March 5, 200422 yr Just realized this was a dead horse. Sorry. Oh, well. Gotta beat the 90 day thing (along with the horse). Quantity, not quality... just like my love life :-violin
