I use SetAffinityII. It's a program to set what core a program will use. Runs at startup. There are other programs that do this. Google.

Feels good that you are getting benefit from those tweaks and the affinitymask. Save up and later you can change the whole system to a higher grade. Earlier before I bought the Athlon X3 I had a Dual core E5700 a nice little thing and it gave me good performance in FSX with the tweaks and the Affinitymask. I have just changed the CPU/MOBO the graphics card is still the same low end but I am waiting for the new AMD cpu Bulldozer else I would have upgraded either to a SB or a Phenom depending on the budget. Cheers.
