Overclocking in the Summer

Featured Replies

Bios it I had set in fixed mode at 1.45 and it never exceed that underload.
What matters is what you have in windows at full load. If you left Load Line Calibration to auto, you probably have something like 1.42 - 1.43V (which is still too much for my taste)What about your memory? did you make sure it's set at it's rated speed and timings? If your mobo has overclocked your RAM for some reason that may be causing the instabilityDid you enable PLL overvoltage in BIOS?

Yes I did enable PLL overvoltage. How do I check and see if my memory is at its rated speed and times? I have not overclocked the ram at all.

With CPU-ZIn the SPD tab you have the rated speed and timings for each RAM stick, and in the Memory tab you have the actual speed and timings they're currently running atpost a couple of screenshots if you want

Your command rate is set to 1T when your RAM is rated at 2T for that speed. That could very well be the reason. Also your tRAS is set to 28 when it should be 25. I don't think that could be a problem since it's running slower than it should, but I would set everything manually to 1600MHz - 9-9-9-25-2T

In the BIOS. I've never seen any Asrock BIOS, but it should be in the manual.

1.45 is what most recommend as the max before you push it too far. But yes. Damage could occur at 1.5
I was told by a few peoples in the PMDG forum never to exceed 1.35, I thought it was a little low after hearing that many could do 1.45-1.5. I run at 1.35 for my 4.8GHz.
