Every now and then on descent everything looks good at 250kts then I notice a chuff / staticy sound (sorry it's the only way I can describe it) the direction I am flying on the DU flicks left and right, then it will stop but I am then at 300kts+ with about 8 mile to go. Something I’m doing wrong? Thank you Paul Humphries

The sudden wind shift in flight sim might be causing that, try the registered version of FSUIPC and use the wind smoothing option.
