ASN integration no longer working since new installers
I'm about to do my first flight in the 777 after updating to the latest version, and I have encountered the same problem. Luckily, I solved it! The 777 is sending the WX.PLN file to the Steam folder in My Docs instead of the default FSX folder. And ASN is looking for the file in the FSX folder. Redirect ASN to the Steam folder and it should solve the problem.

Best airport scenery
Fly Tampa CYYZ. Especially in winter, you see snow blowing across runways and taxiways. I have to commend Fly Tampa, they made that effect look realistic. As well as the night lighting, buildings, textures etc. Everything about that package is great. The only down fall is the performance (VAS and FPS). Which to my understanding is not Fly Tampa's fault.

KB2670838
I think you might find this interesting. After installing FSX SE, I used the same setting I uesd in FSX Box Edition, including the Autogen setting. I did my test flights in the Caribbean. I think we can agree it's less Autogen intensive than cities like DFW, ORD and YYZ. But Here's the interesting part, like I said before, after removing KB2670838, the Terrain.dll CTDs stopped. Since then, I have successfully completed flights between MIA, DFW, YYZ and ORD without a single Terrain.dll CTD.

KB2670838
Well in my case it was, and a few others as well. I know this because I kept getting CTDs, and every time it was the Terrain.dll.
-
KB2670838
I remove FSX box and did a clean FSX SE install recently. I started getting a CTD caused by the Terrain.dll, so I did a search and found a post on the FSX Steam forum saying to remove KB2670838. When I did, the CTDs due to the Terrain.dll stopped.

KB2670838
I'm very well aware of the problems with the update, that's why I'm asking if anyone found a solution other than removing it.
-
KB2670838
Is this still an issue? Has anyone found a solution besides removing it? KB2670838 was causing my FSX SE to crash with a Terrain.dll error.

DX10 Fixer PMDG NGX
I'm having a problem with DX10. Around mid-day to mid-afternoon in FSX, I can't see the lower DU, radio or nav displays on the pedestal in the NGX. I tried uploading a screen shot, but it doesn't seem to be working.

Constant Doors and Pressurization Failures
Correct! Clear the failures after saving the panel state.
-
Constant Doors and Pressurization Failures
Load one of the default panel states. Shutdown the engines, setup the aircraft and save it. Then clear all the failures.

Flight Crew Ops Manual where can I get it ?
Check the PMDG Operations Center.

25OCT14 - First Glance at PMDG 777-200 for Prepar3D
I never said you can't! Simmers have been doing it but they're doing so at their own risk. The EULA is an agreement that protects the companies within the confines of the law and you agree to it and what it stipulates. LM and PMDG have nothing to worry, but you do. If you don't use the software for it's intended purpose as stated in the EULA. The companies are not going to tell don't buy it, because like you said, as long as the "money keeps flowing" . But if it comes to a legal matter, you're the one in trouble, not them!

Insufficient Fuel MSG
If you're using a flight planning program, like PFPX, make sure the flight planning program and PMDG 777 are both using the same metric units. Example, kg or lbs.

25OCT14 - First Glance at PMDG 777-200 for Prepar3D
I wonder how many flight simmers ACTUALLY qualify to use Prepar3D under the terms stipulated in the EULA? I'll tell you....NONE! Because Prepar3D is a training aid and flight simmers use flight simulator as a hobby. Hobby equals entertainment, not training. I'm sure PMDG is going to have similar terms in their EULA as Prepar3D does in theirs. I did some research when the hype about Prepar3D took off a while ago and this is a simple example of the terms of use. If a real world pilot use flight simulator for both training and hobby, and have both FSX and Prepar3D on the same computer. The only time they can use Prepar3D, is when they're using it for training. Example, recurrency training and nothing else. Students can only use it for research and study, nothing else. If you want to be sure, ask LM if flying an aircraft from point A to B and simulating what airline pilots do, for your enjoyment, is acceptable use of the software. If they say yes, then Prepar3D might be the next sim. Otherwise, it's not!

12SEP14 - General Update on Many Topics
An NGX upgrade or SP2 would require less time to complete than a full development cycle of an aircraft. If PMDG charge a reasonable fee for it, it would be a way for them to make money in less time than a full development cycle. I think more customers own the NGX than the 777 and that might be true for the upcoming 747 V2 as well! For obvious reasons, like, those aircrafts are long haul aircrafts and everyone have or are interested in long haul flying! Just my thoughts!

12SEP14 - General Update on Many Topics
I would pay for an NGX upgrade or SP2 as well! I'm willing to pay between $30-$40. If PMDG makes it worth my wild, I'm willing to go up to $50! But it would have to include an option to fix the cockpit geometry, updated graphics and added functionality to the FMC.

B757
I have to agree with Kyle as well! I think Level-D should just let PMDG do the 75/76 and satisfy the flight sim community. We gave them more than enough time and they haven't delivered. If Level-D care about the community, they would step as side!

EICAS Thrust Mode Display
That's Interesting! I didn't know that was an option on the 777, I will take a look at it! Thanks!
-
EICAS Thrust Mode Display
I'm not sure if this has been reported but the Thrust Mode Display on the EICAS does not change from CLB to CRZ after reaching the target cruise altitude. The Auto Flight System is operating in VNAV. I have to manually change it to CRZ.

NGX SPs Question for Ryan(Tabs)
Can't I just install the release version and download SP1c from the pined topic and install it? Instead of going through all the hot fixes and SPs. It's difficult to figure out the correct order because hot fixes were released in between and after SPs.

NGX SPs Question for Ryan(Tabs)
I have the first release plus all the hotfixes and SPs in a file on my hard drive. When I open that file, it's too overwhelming to go through, that's why I asked.
