Cycle Views

Featured Replies

Is it possible to remove the tower view from the cycle views. I find that I never use this view, and would like to edit it out.

I'd like to know this also.

Count me in. :)

Does not seem so :( I remember seeing some view related entries in the key mapping list of FSUIPC, when it was still freeware in FS2002, but I never got them to work (I tried it at least a year ago, my memory may be wrong). Maybe an owner of the current registered version can help?VOlker :]

I am pretty convinced that 99% of the simmers would love to get rid of this useless and annoying feature !:-(

I don't own it, but someone who does could comment: Doesn't Active Camera 2004 change that view to a fly-by or approach view?

Would rather love to have the old "Tower view from here" back into FSNavigator :) I miss that function very much

Hi Gridley,Since this is hard coded in the FS engine a C++ programmer would be able to remove the default tower view by doing this:1. Locating the memory address related to the Tower view.2. Locating the memory address related to the views cycling command in order to "physically" remove the Tower view.3. Writing a small program.4. Compiling a new dll.Unfortunately these addresses are not documented in any SDK, so as usual it would be necessary to spy the FS memory.I won't do it since both Active Camera and FSCamera add-ons use the tower view for flyby or approach view purposes.Regards

Thanks for your replies guys. Guess I'm stuck with this usless view. I would try Active Camera, but I like to pan around using my yoke, and from what I've seen you have to use the mouse to move around in Active Camera.

I'd like to use my hat switch as well instead of the mouse, is there no options for that.Stevephoto_16.jpgWin XP Professional SP1.ABIT IC7 MAX3 800MB FSB.Intel Pentium 4 Northwood 3.2C Ghz 800Mhz.
