September 9, 201114 yr Author I don't think it can be done through software, no. You would need a multimeter and an oscilloscopeYeha thats what I thought CPU: i7-9700KF stable @ 5.0GHz | MOBO: ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero | GPU: ASUS GTX 1080 Ti @ stock | RAM: G. September 9, 201114 yr Yeha thats what I thought Have you run mem86 on your RAM, and confirmed your CPU temps? While voltage software is not as accurate as a DVM, if Speedfan or similar, or even the bios will show volts, were missing a 1/2v or something I would be really looking at the PSU. In any case I am not jumping on the PSU bandwagen until you talk yourself into a new one and come back and say your problems are gone. While a PSU failure can cause many things most likely causes of stuttering are not PSU induced. you hear a stampede, do you think horses or unicorns. September 9, 201114 yr Author Have you run mem86 on your RAM, and confirmed your CPU temps? No I haven't heard of mem86. I have been using HWMonitor for checking temps, but I'm not sure if I'm capable of spotting any abnormalities. September 9, 201114 yr Just to clarify things on my part, I don't think the PSU is to be blamed for the stutters. You'll need to do an elimination process to identify what's making FSX stutter, start with removing the overclock for example

Mem86 is to test memory http://www.memtest86.com/ have you looked at your temps while stress testing? September 10, 201114 yr Author Yeah I removed the overclock. The only tweaks I have currently is affinity mask 14 and HIGHMEMFIX. I have not looked at my temps while stress testing. I will give it a go. I've been using BurnInTest for my stress testing. Think I should try another one? I like a couple of tests, I use Intel Burn Test because it is fast and pumps out a lot of heat, then 5-minutes (short test, longer if OCing) of Prime95 using RealTemp version 3.69.1 to monitor. Even though you are not clocked it is good to ensure that you are cooling ok.
