September 9, 201114 yr I thought this was an appropriate article given some of the benchmarking that has been done around here in the last few months - especially given the focus on smoothness rather than FPS with FSX. September 9, 201114 yr They have the wrong people performing the testing. They should have some of the folks here that don't see jitters. Problem solved. And I thought it was because I drank too much coffee. September 10, 201114 yr Author Whether we want to admit it or not, I think all of us see jitters in some form or another. Most of us are in denial and frankly, I don't blame anybody! Afterall, they're only in the form of a thousandths of a second. I have been doing lots of experimenting with making photoreal scenery lately, which allows me to completely turn off autogen as well as scenery complexity for some very smooth flight and FPS in the 70s and 80s. Attached is a screen shot showing where the photoreal scenery meets up with default FSX scenery. September 10, 201114 yr nice but what happens when you get to the ground, it'll be bare. Don't you care? Both optimists and pessimists contribute to our society. The optimist invents the airplane and the pessimist the parachute. ~Gil Stern
September 10, 201114 yr Author Not considering how little time I spend on the ground. I can turn the scenery complexity back up and get the buildings, but photoreal scenery kills the autogen.
