FS2004 & TCAS

Featured Replies

Hello. I'm hoping someone can answer this quick question for me.I have come across a couple of panels specifically made for FS2004 that have a TCAS system. But, that system does not show any aircraft. Ever. Am I missing something here? Is it possible that something else is needed for this to work that isn't already included in everything else that came with that panel? The same panel, designed by the same person for FS2002 works fine (in FS2002 of course). Has something changed in FS2004 regarding this type of feature?Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

FSUIPC3.X is a module that you'll need. The full version is now payware, rightly so, and it's by Peter Dowson (I think that's how you spell his name). That's my suggestion, make sure you get it. You might pay for the new version and see if that fixes the prob.Have a nice day!

I do have that installed but it is the freeware version. Not the payware version. Is that the problem? If so, is there anything to configure with the payware version to get the TCAS to work or does it just work?

Assuming that you are talking about TCAS for AI and not TCAS for multiplayer. Usually the TCAS uses FSUIPC tables (although there are several that don't use like RealityXP TCAS) so make sure that you have FSUIPC and that the necessary registering code is provided. Usually the authors refer this in the readme. What is the TCAS?Jos

What if two different panels by two different people contain codes for FSUIPC? Once entered do they remain or would each one have to be entered again before flying that particular aircraft?
