I'm looking for a hardcore aviation business simulation...

Recommended Posts

ok, we have: FSEconomyVAFS - Virtual Airline Financial SystemsFSPassengersFSCaptainAir Hauler - cargo ops only. now they are all ok, but I'm looking for one that would be really tough to "win" or to make money, so many of these are just to easy to make money at and I don't think really reflect reality.. I keep reading of how difficult it is for small little startups to make it .. any ideas or is this just what I have to choose from right now? Other than writing my own.. which I would do, if I could find all the data ... I'm looking for something that would simulate the startup of a small charter company be it pax on demand and/or cargo on demand and then see if I can turn that into a huge business are go as large as I want to go...I should add, that what I want happens in real time only when I "playing" it and that I can be able to jump ahead if I want to.. For example say I need a new engine part for one of my aircraft, It will take two weeks to get it in.. Now I don't want to really wait two weeks in real time, so I advance time but immediately, so now the current game time is now+two weeks, etc.. OR ride it out in real time as well if I choose to do so... also, I would want to be able to hire pilots and put them to work, they would do the routes/charters everyday, of course you have to "roll dice" so to speak to see if they were sick that day, or had problems with the planes etc etc...

how r ya, i would say that airhauler is the only way to go, I have it and love it. Sence I baught it in january (and I fly 3 to 4 hours a day) it is the only way I'll fly. It gives you perpose, you make money, you can hire other pilots and if you really wanted to you can start as little as you can but ill tell ya it takes pure detacation if you start small and go big. I have done both. I got all of orbx North America land classes and 4 of there small airports and it is really beautiful and cool. Also it simulates failures. If you start big and try to buy a heavy jet right from the get go the biggest youll get from my own experance is around a 757 and it takes long flying hours to get something like a 747. I would try airhauler but its up to you .see ya Lar and I know my grammer SUCKS

The ones you name are all pretty much based on the notion of adding something to FS (incidentally, you forgot African Airstrip Adventures in your list, which despite the name is in fact not adventures but is a 'game' about being a commercial pilot in Africa taking jobs flying to and from Bush strips which uses the FSX Mission system in an open-ended way, it's good, but the business side of things is not covered). Of the ones you list, Air Hauler is almost certainly the best one, since it does allow a lot of business-related things to be done that are outside of FS, such as stock dealing and that kind of thing. What you probably want though, is to look outside of the FS add-on arena if you wanted something more hard core. Google turns up a few, I daresay a more dedicated search would find more: http://www.airlinesimulation.com/ http://www.airwaysim.com/ http://www.airlineboss.com/ http://www.cyberairlines.net/news.php http://directory.sim...ess-simulation/ Al
