Weather Problems When Using ASE at Madiera

Why not try the REX weather engine ? I've been using it lately andI really like it. Very few anomalies and huge volumes of cloud. Usually matches the METAR very well.

Hi Phil, Look at your screens shot. There is actually 2 different sets of winds data and even in the textual conditions there are 2 different wind conditions. No wonder the winds are going crazy because FSX has no idea which set of data to use so it is switching back and forth over and over again. Let's just wait a bit and see if the data for that region fixes itself. There is no reason to try another weather engine at this time.

Hello, The wind is indicated as variable between 331 and 360, if I am reading that correctly. There may be a problem with using "360" as a value, as normally we refer to 360 as 0. Do I understand correctly that the wind is spinning around 360degrees? This could be why. Normally this kind of report would indicate it would only swing between 331 and 0, or 29 degrees max. If this is occurring within these limits, then everything is working normally. If it's swinging beyond 29degrees, then the "360" value is probably what is causing this, and we can work around this issue in our software.
