Convert FS2004 BGL to FS2002 BGL

Featured Replies

Is there any way to convert FS2004 BGL file to FS2002 BGL file? I have both AFCAD2 and AFCAD but I only have FS2004.

I would say no. If this is a Bgl file created using FS2004 tools (XML source based) then it would be a major undertaking. I suspect It would be a lot easier to start from scratch using FS2002 tools

Is there any other tools(exclude AFCAD) that make BGL for FS2002? And I want tool which don't need FS2002 programm. Thought it looks like contradiction,

I think there is no other tools.. Thank you for your post.

AFCAD relies on editing the default AFD files in FS2002. I think you might be able to make a new airport from scratch, and save it as a text file that users could add to their sims. There is a GMAX gamepak for FS2002, and also resample. There was a terrain program Ground2k. Also some things like autoASM, and maybe Slartibartfast that worked for FS2002 terrain. I think Airport for Windows maybe had the most capability for building airports, but I think people found FS Scenery Creator (FSSC) easier to use. scott s..
