September 21, 201114 yr Hi guys, Got this problem ever since I got the NGX.After flying a while, or even just started the flight, with the NGX, FSX gives a RAM memory error, that I do not have enough memory, and then shut's FSX down. Really frustrating, really because I think my computer must be able to handle this by looking at what the NGX needs to run on the PC. Got these settings: AMD Athlon Dual Core Processor 4850e4,00 GB RAMATI Radeon HD 3800 SeriesWindows 7 32-bit I also use mytraffic X, no other environmental or trafiic add-ons. Anyone that knows more about computers than I do and knows what I can change to this settings and is willing to help me?Would really appreciate it! Big thanks, MO-Airlines
September 21, 201114 yr 32-bit systems can only use approx 4gb of memory so it'd be a waste to install more unless you install a 64-bit OS. You can try turning down your autogen & traffic settings to see if that helps. I'm not too 32-bit savvy anymore, but there's also a setting you can change that'll give FSX access to 3gb instead of the standard 2gb. Someone else can probably chime in on how to do it if they think that's a good course of action. September 21, 201114 yr Assuming you have 512MB memory on your video card, try the following: * Open a command prompt with administrator privileges* Run this command: BCDEDIT.EXE /Set IncreaseUserVa 2816 An even better option is to change your OS to Windows 7 64-bit. September 22, 201114 yr WHATEVER YOU DO -- if you are going to stay with a 32 bit OS, you need to boost the "VM Application Addressing Space" past the default 2 Gigs, to 2.5 Gigs, to help stop the OOMs for FSX & PMDG 737NGX. This should tide you over, till you update to a 64 bit OS.
September 22, 201114 yr Author Tried @Trisager's option,I will now try a flight to test it. Thanks for the fast replies guys! Really appreciate it!MO-Airlines
