September 22, 201114 yr This is weird but yet totally reproduceable ..if I select time and date and use sunset (dusk) time from the fsx menu, the NGX performance is lousy, running about only 14 to 18 fps and choppy with a variability of like 30%....yet if I move the time to day (midday or so) it is way up to my normal unlocked framerate (no limiter) of 30ish or so... at a place like KISM, with no ai traffic on, sliders on VD and V... by default of FSX original .cfg... anyone else here..? September 22, 201114 yr FSX performance is generally worse at dawn/dusk, because the sim is loading more textures. Couple that with the demanding NGX and there might be a drop in framerate. There is an option to disable texture blending during dawn/dusk, but I can't remember where exactly. You could try that one. "A life is like a garden.
