Yes go to the display options menu and turn it off. It's the box marked `lens flare`. Uncheck it and the lens flare effect is gone. It actually would take you less time to find than it's taken you to post and others to reply, which is no doubt why you've had the sarcastic reply above.Allcott

You never get it in the real world, not even when the sun is shining. You only get it when looking at the world through a camera, a binocular etc. That's why it is called LENSflare.
