Hey, Im having FPS issue with water at high FL's. I use REX FSWC and hgave tried the Bojote MOD 3, with a FSX setting of Low 2X in FSX and Im getting awaful performance over water, somebody mentioned that you where have the same issue at some point and maybe it was written about in the NGX Indoc manual, I searched it and couldn't find anything, can you help. I've literrally tried everything; CFG edits, REX Textues, using Shader 3/2.I run a nice PC too, 2500k @ 5.0 GTX 480 8g DDR3 1600mhz Win 7 x64, the problem happens in any airplane @ High altitude! Can you please help, I do a lot of Coastal Flying. Cheers

I've never had that issue myself, so I can't offer a suggestion aside from what you've already done. Except, perhaps, to try a full reinstall of FSX. Have you ever done that? Sure, it takes time ( A LOT of time), but you'd be surprised at what a fresh install can do for your setup.

Some REX Water textures KILL FPS, change the water texture and see if that helps!

Can anyone tell me what advantage is to using the Bojote shader MOD 3 if using an Nvidia card ? thought that was for ATi cards. I see Ron is using FSWC and shader 3, could that be an issue ? Apart from REX using 32bit water. ( I have REX, but use FEX)

I also notice a bit of a performance decrease over larger bodies of water, but I haven't seen anything like you described. Try not adjusting the REX plankton sliders if you have. It may have an effect on the FPS in the NGX.
